A few steps away from Firenze, surrounded by vineyards and olive-yards, rises Casa Martini, an extaordinary
environment which offers the charme of historical places and atmosphere with the pleasure of a familiar welcoming.
The farmhouse is completely immersed in the green countryside among sweet hills, typical of the Tuscan rural environment.
Small villages, parish churches and castles ( as Montegufoni and Poppiano on the contiguous hills), suggestive landscapes,
create a magic atmosphere which brings you backwards in history. A unique territory which add the pleasure of uncontaminated
nature to a charming past of art and culture.
Casa Martini is an old farmhouse of the 18th cent., residence of the farmer who supervised the surrounding lands.
It lays on a hill close to the medieval castle of Poppiano – ancient property of the Guicciardini family – and was called
'Podere Fossatole', as written on the old register of landed property of Leopoldo, Gran Duca di Toscana.
In the 70s it became the house of Mr. Sandro Martini. Sandro decided to create an oasis plunged in the green landscapes, to recover
time and energies: shelter from the city, where to recover harmony, comfort and the ancient rhythm of nature; the meeting point
for friends and relatives, coming from all over the world.
Today, his daughter Beatrice and wife Laura, have decided to open the doors to guests, to share the friendly atmosphere which
has always been a characteristic of this ancient and charming house.
The house has been restructured keeping untouched the original structures and atmospheres, just adding those services and comforts
of a contemporary house. The rural and agricultural characteristics have been kept, the family is still producing
olive oil, wine and products from the kitchen garden.
Casa Martini represents the convivium between the pleasure of being together and the pleasure to share emotions and tastes....
