What can I say... we had the most amazing time here. I went to Italy for a friends wedding, and then some of my friends flew over and we had a week here at the Casa Martini. Beatrice who owns the Villa was so welcoming, friendly, gorgeous and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect, we felt at home straight away. It was one of those places were you could go and knock on Beatrice's door at any point (I am sure within reason!) and she was willing to help you in any way she could. The apartment that we stayed in was gorgeous with beautiful antique furnishings and spacious for 3 of us, the outside space was perfect to chill out in the evenings and the pool area to die for. The views were incredible as you lay by the pool and looked onto vineyards. The kitchen was well equipped and as it is self catering we were told were the nearest COOP was at nearby Montespertoli which you could get anything you needed. Florence was only a short drive away making access to the city very simple. Also San Gemignano wasn't far either. We had a car which is essential here as you are out in the Tuscany countryside. Me and my friends have ridden horses for most of our lives and found out that there was a riding yard right next door. Beatrice organised for us to go and meet the gentleman who has the horses and we arranged to ride the next day. It was an early start to enjoy the coolness before it got to hot (we were there in July). As we were experienced riders we were taken out for a lovely long hack and the horses were gorgeous. We wanted to go to a Vineyard, so Beatrice arranged for us to go to a local one, which she joined us for as it was the first time she had a chance to go (you can't ask for more than the hostess coming with you for the day). Looking at other reviews I think this place is perfect for a family, or a romantic holiday.. but we were 3 girls in our early 30's and loved every second of it, and did not want to leave. Even writing this it reminds me of all the wonderful memories and can't wait to return.
